Shops are open from 10:00 to 20:00. However, from 13:00 to 16:00 almost everything in the city is closed for siesta.
In Mexico, the products of American manufacturers at reasonable prices are widely represented. European goods are very expensive.
Tequila must be brought from Mexico. Taxco is famous for its original decorations of high quality silver, wicker baskets and painted animal figures from wood, San Cristobal de las Casas for woven handicrafts and embroidered shirts, Morelia for sweets, Guadalajara for handmade Huachol Indians, Zacatecas for woven bedspreads and cacti sweets; Merida – blouses, jewelry, hammocks of all colors and sizes.

Large department stores and supermarkets work from 10.00 to 21-22.00 without lunch, regular stores – from 9.00 to 18.00-19.00. Some large stores are open around the clock.
The most popular souvenirs from Malaysia are tin and silverware, as well as products from batik. As a gift you can buy wicker and wood-carved products from the island of Borneo. Gold in Malaysia is sold in the 20th or 24th sample. The workmanship is very high, and the products themselves have a beautiful design.

Cuba – an island nation in the northern part of the Caribbean

As a souvenir from Cuba, products and jewelry made of coral in combination with silver, Cuban rum, cigars, CDs with salsa melodies, local musical instruments, T-shirts and caps featuring Che Guevara, art fabrics, embroidery and lace, as well as items made of shell are being brought turtles, especially bracelets and hairpins (beware of fakes!).
Shops are open from 9.00 to 18.00 (some until 20.00) on weekdays, on Saturdays from 9.00 to 15.00 (some until 18.00). Supermarkets and shops in resort areas are usually open from 10.00 to 20.00. Most small shops have a separate mode of operation. Almost all shops close on a “siesta” in the area of noon.
